New call handlers for Bedford

New bedford call handlers may 17

Bedford EOC welcomed four new call handlers to the team, after they completed their initial classroom training to achieve their AMPDS Emergency Medical Dispatcher license.

Trainer Gemma Willson says; ‘Congratulations to the latest trainee call handlers who have successfully completed their classroom based training in Bedford and are ready to progress on to their mentoring in EOC.’

After four weeks learning the principles of how to be a competent call handler, Danny, Howard, Brandon and Beckie are now ready to put their newly acquired skills to the test, put on their headsets and start answering live 999 calls while being carefully guided by a member of the EOC team.  We hope they have a flourishing career at EEAST and wish them every success as they enter the EOC.

Well done all!
