New call handlers set to take control in Chelmsford

Chelms call handlers April 17

This week EEAST welcomes its newest Chelmsford EOC recruits who have just completed the classroom training phase of their emergency call handler training.

Marie, Janice, Hayley and Crystal are now looking forward to their next step, which is where they join their mentors in the control room to ‘go live’ taking 999 calls.

“The course for EOC call handlers is now a four-week course and the amount of work to be covered is vast.” sayid EOC Trainer Lyn Fletcher.   “The four trainees have worked very hard throughout and have achieved good results in their assessments. I wish them well in their new role.”

Crystal said: “I feel proud to have joined this trust and have felt well supported throughout my training, particularly with the additional challenges I face with my dyslexia, and I am confident that this will continue throughout my mentoring”.”

Welcome to the team from all at EEAST and good luck with your mentoring!
