New! Our first BME network goes live

Staff are being invited to join a forum of networking and support for underrepresented groups in the organisation.

The BME Network will sit alongside the All Women EAST (AWE) and LGBT networks, and is open to all BME employees within EEAST as well as any colleagues who have a role in supporting the work environment for BME colleagues and experience of BME patients in the wider communities.

Engagement is also welcomed from any employees committed to the aims of the network.

The first meeting is on 24th October from 1 – 3pm at the Trust HQ in Melbourn, Whiting Way, Melbourn, Cambridgeshire, SG8 6EN. For more information or to register your interest in joining, contact Samm Dodge at samm.dodge@eastamb.nhs.uk .

Also, as part of the wider ambulance BME network, we’re delighted to support the first National Ambulance BME Conference due to take place on 19th October from 9am – 4.30pm at the NHS Leadership Academy in Leeds www.leadershipacademy.nhs.uk/contact-us/find-us/ . The theme of the conference will be centred around quality of care by exploring the role of equality, diversity and inclusion, focusing on the culture of organisations and compassionate leadership.
