New resuscitation guidelines have been published today (15th October) by the Resuscitation Council UK.

The Council exists to promote high-quality, scientific, resuscitation guidelines that are applicable to everybody, and to contribute to saving life through education, training, research and collaboration.

The resuscitation guidelines, which were last refreshed in 2010, contain detailed information about basic and advanced life support for adults, paediatrics and newborns.

The guidelines may recommend treatment or guideline changes in practice based on new scientific evidence, but the clinical team will be reviewing them and feeding back any important changes related to pre-hospital care.

The new resuscitation guidelines 2015 can be viewed on the Resuscitation Council website.
