New telephone system goes live

Avaya J169 handset

The Trust’s single point of contact (SPOC) and patient transport service (PTS) control rooms have now successfully transferred to the new Avaya telephone system.

Ampthill, Fakenham, Witham, Potter Heigham, Braintree, Buntingford and Maldon stations are also live on the new platform and using new handsets. **Please note that the phone numbers are staying the same.

The new system will give EEAST additional functionality and promote collaborative working between all sites, as well as improving our resilience.

The Telephony Project Team in IM&T would like to thank everyone who has supported the initiative, ensuring a smooth transition to the new system. Further updates will follow as more stations go live.
