HEOC / HQ programme

As staff will be aware we have been undertaking a strategic long-term review of our control rooms and our corporate estate, to ensure it is fit for purpose for the future of our Trust.

As a first step I am moving the corporate HQ out of Cambourne and relocating it to the Melbourn HART base. This will become the new Trust HQ and where I will base my office.

At the Trust Board meeting last Friday (March 28), we agreed to pause the work reviewing the long term future of our HQ and control rooms until the summer of 2015. This will allow the service to focus on our priorities of stabilising the organisation and putting in place actions to improve patient care.

I want to ensure that we focus only on the immediate priorities to create a safe response to all of our patients before we embark on larger strategic developments. It is also important to me to know that all of our staff have a stable and secure environment in which to work and it will allow us to focus on our immediate priorities.

Dr Anthony Marsh, QAM
Chief Executive
