EEAST says ‘thank-you’ on 72nd Birthday of the NHS

NHS Birthday 2020

On Sunday July 5th, the nation will be celebrating the NHS’s 72nd birthday, and at 5pm will be taking part in one final Clap for Carers.

Member of staff on duty can take part if they wish as long as it does not interfere with essential duties and social distancing is observed.

Chief Executive, Dorothy Hosein said: “As people around the country will be taking a moment to pause and reflect on how the whole of the NHS has been there for them during the COVID-19 crisis, at EEAST we will also be reflecting and thanking our colleagues in the NHS, the other caring professions, workers in essential services, and also the public for their incredible support during what has been a very challenging time.

“Now – when they’ve been able to see NHS working at it’s very best –  is also a good time to remind people that if they would like a job that is meaningful and makes a real difference to people’s lives, then the NHS offers a wide range of rewarding careers.

“If you know of family or friends who are considering joining the NHS, please encourage them to visit our public website www.eastamb.nhs.uk, where we currently have vacancies for front-line clinical staff and also support and administrative positions.

As this will be the last clap for carers, please share any pictures or video you take of the event – at home or work – on our social media sites:
