NHS Terms and Conditions annual pay scales for 2021/22

The government has announced the pay award for NHS staff covered by the remits of the NHS Pay Review Body (NHS PRB).

The government has accepted the Pay Review Bodies’ recommendations of a 3 per cent pay award uplift for NHS staff within the scope for this year’s remits (excluding any staff already covered by a multi-year pay deal).

The pay award will be backdated to 1 April 2021.

In response to this announcement, the following resources are now available on the NHS Employers website:

• 
   An updated Annex 2 (Pay bands and pay points) of the NHS terms and conditions of service handbook.
   An updated Annex 9 (High cost area supplements) of the NHS terms and conditions of service handbook.

  the latest annual pay scales
  the latest hourly pay scales
  annual and hourly rates inclusive of HCAS.

The Pay Awards detailed above will be made in the September pay and the Retro (Sup) Pay processes will calculate any associated back pay.
