Norfolk volunteers receive £2,000 donation boost

The Waveney Valley Community first responders have been rewarded a cheque for a whopping £2,300 from Chris and Liz Shore, owners of the Wortwell Bell pub in Harleston.

The donation will be of huge benefit to the group and its community.

Shaun Button, Group Co-ordinator, said: “Chris, Liz and all the staff have held numerous events for us in the local community through 2016, collecting such an amazing final figure for us! They have worked tirelessly through the year, helping us as you can see.

“When they took over the Wortwell Bell, they funded and have a defib on the pub wall too. So they have worked extremely hard not just for us, but for their community also. All I can say is thank you to Chris and Liz for all your hard work and supporting us in everything we do!”
