Opt out forms – have you signed yours?

Ambulance side shot

The Trust is always committed to the wellbeing of all staff, however recognises that some of you may wish at times, to work in excess of the statutory 48-hours working week limit (averaged over a 17 week period).

If you wish to work more than 48-hours a week, you need to sign an individual agreement.  The Trust is working hard to make sure that we have the appropriate safe systems of work in place to protect staff and having up to date records of those of you who wish to opt out of the 48 working hour week is an important part of our monitoring arrangements.

For those who prefer not to opt out of the 48 hour working week, monitoring systems are being developed to ensure working time is managed and does not exceed those limits.  To ensure we can monitor working hours appropriately we need any completed opt out forms to be submitted by Saturday, 31st December. You can find the forms on East 24. Please mark it for the attention of Amy Trussell, and remember it can also be returned via internal mail or scanned and emailed to amy.trussell@eastamb.nhs.uk.
