Paracetamol and ibuprofen tablets introduced

Blurred ambulance

Following the recall of co-codamol from our drug suite, the Trust has introduced ibuprofen (200mg) and paracetamol (500mg) tablets to our drug bags.

These will be delivered and available on station within the next few days, and can be administered to patients by clinicians at paramedic level or above.

Please read the relevant clinical update on East24 (please be aware you will only be able to access this from a Trust computer). The update, which is taken from the clinical practice guidelines, gives details on dosage, administration and contraindications for these drugs.
