Participants needed for a new equality project

Side of RRV with lozenge

Would you like to be part of a new project examining black and ethnic minority (BME) in the east of England?

Health Education England has commissioned charity Equality Challenge Unit (ECU) to research into black and ethnic minority (BME) underrepresentation in paramedic science.

The ECU works to support equality and diversity for staff and students in higher and further education. This project is funded by Health Education England and supported by EEAST’s equality, diversity and inclusion unit.

As part of this project, ECU is particularly interested in confidentially speaking to BME staff at EEAST, including those who are currently:

  • on the student paramedic programme
  • BME paramedics at EEAST
  • BME community first responders and community members who have an interest in potential careers as a paramedic.

Running through to November, the project builds on previous research in the west and east Midland regions.

If you have any questions about this project, or would confidentially like to express interest in participating, please email research@ecu.ac.uk.
