Places left on emergency services mental health workshop

As we try to increase and improve our wellbeing service for everyone in the Trust, we are working with the charity Mind and other organisations to get the best support and guidance we can.

Places are still available on a joint workshop between us and our police and fire colleagues that looks specifically at how we can better support those in the emergency services when it comes to mental health.

At the workshop, which is running on 17th May from 9.45am-12pm at Great Notley, we will be looking at what we already do to support mental health in the workplace, what we can do better, and what we will actually do going forward.  We do only have a limited number of spaces right now – but there will be more to come!

It’s a great opportunity to have a say and work with us in building our wellbeing service across the Trust - please contact our Organisational Development Administrator, Victoria Harris, at victoria.harris2@eastamb.nhs.uk to express your availability and interest.

Later this month we’ll also be signing a pledge with Mind for its Time to Change Programme, which will set in action a series of activities to ensure we both rid ourselves of the stigma, and also raise awareness, of mental health issues throughout the Trust.

We would like to know of anyone who has any interest in supporting this pledge work, and the wellbeing offering generally.  We hope eventually to have some champions spread throughout the region, and a steering group to keep the pledge on track.

More information coming soon!
