Plea for vigilance after nitrous oxide theft

Staff are being urged to stay vigilant following reports of thefts of medical gases across the country.

A recent theft of nitrous oxide from a company in Suffolk has prompted police and NHS England to issue a warning that medical sites could be targeted.

Staff are being reminded to ensure all gas cabinets are kept locked and secure, and that lighting is working above them.

If you do not believe that the cabinets are safe and secure, then please report to your DLO, estates or local security management specialist.

If you see any suspicious activity, please report to police.
