Praise for Chelmsford EOC staff

Chelmsford HEOC

Control room staff from Chelmsford have been praised for their tenacity and professionalism after a visit from the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors.

The visit, organised by Paramedic Dan Ralevic, who had combined his work on human factors input for this year’s EOC professional update, gave the group an insight into this safety critical operation within the Trust.  Representatives from the rail, defence and nuclear industry were able to see first-hand how calls were taken and dispatched and were also shown the air operations and gold cell function of the control room.

Group representative Chris Avis, said: "It is a tough world you guys work in and the constant time and budget constraints can't make it easy, especially with the responsibility you have."

If any staff or management would like an input into how human factors influence their area of work, Dan can be contacted at dan.ralevic@eastamb.nhs.uk.
