Praise for service from Herts councillors

Councillors who put healthcare under the microscope have praised the Trust following a visit to see its operations earlier this month.

Members of the Hertfordshire Health Overview & Scrutiny Committee (HOSC) visited the control room in Bedford and the hazardous area response team (HART) base in Melbourn.

During the visit, the HOSC members were given a brief overview of what happens when a 999 call is received, how calls are categorised and listened into 999 calls.

The councillors then visited the HART base to find out more about the specialist training and equipment the team has and the types of incidents they attend.
