Ambulance staff have been praised by patients for a “fantastic”, “professional” and “super service”.

Almost 100 people who received emergency care during the month of March responded to questionnaires.

Ninety-nine percent of patients said they were very satisfied, satisfied or fairly satisfied with the overall service they received.

Results from the latest patient experience report reveal that almost 97% of respondents said the handling of their call was very acceptable or acceptable and nine out of ten said the length of time they waited for the service to arrive was very acceptable or acceptable.

Almost 95% added that the service they received exceeded or met their expectations.

Robert Morton, EEAST Chief Executive, said: “I am thrilled with these latest results, which are a testament to the care, professionalism, and dedication of our staff across the region.

Our call handlers, dispatchers, control room clinicians, road crews, managers, support staff and executive team are all working hard to improve patient care and it is fantastic to have such high satisfaction scores month after month.”

A patient in West Norfolk said “it is difficult to improve a super service” whilst a patient in West Suffolk said “it is an A1 service.”

A patient in Mid Essex said: “I don’t think you can improve the way I was treated. I felt safe and in very good hands.”

A patient in Bedfordshire said: “The paramedic was fantastic, professional and very reassuring.”
