The trust has received a field safety notice regarding the efficacy of the BD Venflon Pro Safety Cannula and has been instructed to recall all specific catalogue numbers within the alert. Please find further information here.
It is understood all our current stock of this product is included. We are required to identify, quarantine and return the impacted lots to the Central Supply Hub at Letchworth.
Within the next few days, depots will receive two red tote boxes. The cannulas should be placed into the boxes and make these available for couriers to collect. This will ensure all affected devices are withdrawn from stations and any risk is removed.
