PSIT save one thousand DSA working hours

Clinical staff are asked if they want to join team that has already saved more than 1,000 hours of DSA working time this Christmas.

In the three weeks that the Trust’s Patient Safety Intervention Teams (PSITs) have been in operation, they have already cared for 893 patients in the region. A staggering 1,121 DSA hours were saved for crews to get back on the road and on route to the next patient over the festive and new year period.

The team works over the entire region, currently with 28 staff. They are dispatched based on priority at each hospital so can only attend a certain number of A&Es due to capacity.

If you would like to join your local team please speak to your SLM, local PSIT team leader or Terry Hicks at
