Quality Development Team

The aim of the team is to develop and manage quality improvement and assurance in commissioned services to fulfil statutory duties on behalf of and in collaboration with Executive team.

The dedicated team will explore a variety of approaches to quality improvement and development in line with staff engagement. The team will support and monitor that we can reach the regulatory requirements for the CQC and enable greater staff engagement during the process.

This project will inevitably involve an element of prioritisation to promote good practice and ensure that those areas most likely to benefit from a review and assessment are afforded attention in a timely manner. While recognising the increased workload on all trust staff and appreciating the great professionalism and commitment to patients shown by staff over the past few years, the Quality Development Team does believe the current situation presents a valuable opportunity to embed best practice and care and provide independent scrutiny of the care and quality arrangements for the trust.

Quality Development Team Lead Lewis Andrews said: “Following an open recruitment exercise, I am delighted that we have appointed our three Quality development Team Officers. We look forward to meeting as many staff members as possible of the coming months and supporting all directorates in putting quality at the forefront of all we do. If you have any comments or feedback for the team prior to local visits please e-mail qualitydevelopmentteam@eastamb.nhs.uk ”
