Recall for ipratropium bromide

Clinical kit pic

The Trust has been made aware of a potential issue with ipratropium bromide nebules, of 250mcg/1ml, that we may have in stock.

Although no adverse reactions have been reported, the manufacturer is recalling the following batch numbers of Respontin nebules as impurities were found during routine testing:

  • Batch B76315BA (expires 28/02/17)
  • Batch B85515J (expires 31/10/17)

We’d ask all crews to please check drug bags as soon as possible; if you find any affected nebules, please:

  • replace affected stock, when you next return to base or at the end of your shift
  • return the affected nebules to your duty locality officer at the end of your shift.
