College of Paramedics Conference

The College of Paramedics East of England Region Clinical Conference took place recently at the University of Bedfordshire, Luton.

The event was attended by nearly 140 delegates from across the country, with speakers focusing on topics such as collaboration and progression possibilities within the profession.

Delegates also heard from key speakers in their specialist subjects, such as forensic medicine and end of life care. 

Representatives from EEAST included interim Chief Executive, Dorothy Hosein, who spoke about how system collaboration is the key to change; Senior Operations Centre Manager, Sandra Treacher, who  presented some incredible statistics on frequent callers and dealing with 111 reviews and Area Clinical Lead, Duncan Moore, who gave a talk: The Health Agenda; to lead or to follow.

Afterwards, Director of Clinical Quality and Improvement, Tracy Nicholls said:

“Our own Graham Clarke, who is the College Trustee for our region, put together a very exciting programme for delegates.

“I think everyone found something of interest, so thanks to Graham for organising such an interesting day.”
