Reminder about safety of Trust vehicles and equipment

Ambulance line up blue sky

Following thefts from ambulances and cars targeting defibrillators in nearby regions, both from vehicles parked on station, we are reminding everyone about some simple security measures.

Despite the region not yet falling victim to these kinds of thefts, they are moving closer.

Please make sure that all vehicles are locked and secure at all times and to also give thought as to where you are parking them.  For example, try to park vehicles closer to the station buildings where there is more staff activity.  If your vehicle charging point is not near a building, consider driving the vehicle in front first so the rear windows/doors are facing into the main car park rather than being masked by a fence or bush where intruders can hide unseen.

Please report any suspicious activity to the police and if it is safe to do so and also notify EOC.
