Reporting medical device failures on DATIX and new red faulty tags

Red flag OPT

You will see some new faulty red tags (which include a box to write the DATIX number in) come into circulation over the next few weeks.

A supply of these red tags should be made readily available on all front-line vehicles.

An updated Medical Devices Standard Operating Procedure (MD SOP 03) on the correct reporting of medical devices failures has been issued and can be found on EAST24

To help the Medical Devices team keep equipment in working condition, staff are reminded to enter the full information about the device onto DATIX, along with asset numbers and vehicle registration details.

You can find out more about the correct process in this Need to Know Article from last June.
