COVID19 clinical research opportunity

Genomic

Have you had mild, moderate or severe COVID-19 symptoms?
GenOMICC, a large NIHR Urgent Public Health Research study, is looking for people who have had COVID-19 (confirmed or suspected).

Since genes (DNA) can determine how we are affected by critical illness, study participants will provide a blood sample from which their DNA will be extracted and compared with other DNA samples from the rest of the population.

The aims of this research are to:

  • understand the effects of COVID-19
  • understand why some people experience mild symptoms, whilst others require intensive care, and some die
  • identify COVID-19 risk factors
  • help fast-track treatments for COVID-19.
