Research success

Research Paramedic Larrissa has been given a National College of Paramedics prize for 'best poster' at their conference in Coventry.

The poster was on Larissa’s work on the pre-hospital care of chemotherapy patients and can be downloaded from the Need to Know site.

Larissa said: “I was thrilled to win a prize at the conference – we are doing some really interesting research work at the Trust and to win this prize is a really good validation of this.”

The conference included presentations on cutting edge resuscitation, paramedic prescribing, end-of-life care, mental health and the perceived impacts of shift work on paramedics.

Larissa has kindly donated her prize (one year subscription to the Journal of Paramedic Practice) to be offered to Trust staff in a research-related competition, so watch this space for further details!
