ReSPECT campaign nominated for HSJ award

HSJ Awards 2019

The ReSPECT campaign, of which EEAST is a partner organisation has been named as a finalist in the ‘System Leadership Initiative of the Year’ category of the Health Services Journal (HSJ) Awards.

The ReSPECT Project, an ambitious initiative that set out to improve conversations about resuscitation and emergency treatment with people across Norfolk and Waveneyhas brought together partners from acute, community, primary care, mental health, patient representatives, the ambulance service, social care and the voluntary and community sector.

The group worked collaboratively, sharing staff, resources and materials in preparation for a ‘big bang’ launch on the 18th March 2020.
The ambition, organisation and commitment of the partnership, enabled the launch to go ahead despite the unforeseen challenges of the pandemic.

In February, Dr Caroline Barry (NNUH), Gita Prasad (EEAST, previously Norfolk and Waveney CCG) and Daimon Wheddon (EEAST) came together to give an impactful presentation to the HSJ judging panel as to why the partnership should receive this prestigious title.

If you would like to watch the HSJ Award Ceremony, you can do so on the evening of Wednesday 17th March.
