Restart a Heart Day needs you!

Side of RRV with lozenge

We all know the life-saving benefits that immediate and effective CPR can have on a patient in cardiac arrest.

The Trust is looking to spread awareness of this on Restart a Heart Day on Tuesday, 18th October, where the focus will be on teaching children how to give CPR.

The scheme involves the Resuscitation Council, The British Heart Foundation, British Red Cross, St John Ambulance and has the support of the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives (AACE) - with the aim of making every child a life-saver.

The Trust is looking to support this and teach hundreds of schoolchildren CPR on the day. To do this, we are looking for the support of our staff and community first responders who would be willing to go to schools in their area on the 18th October.

Schools are also being encouraged to sign up by the Resuscitation Council UK. To get involved and register your interest in taking part, please contact Community Collaboration Manager Wendy Risdale-Barrs at wendy-jean.risdale@eastamb.nhs.uk.
