Resus council wants your views on emergency care plan

There’s just a few days left to have your say on the Resuscitation Council’s Emergency Care and Treatment Plan (ECTP) consultation.

Health professionals (including representatives of doctors, nurses and paramedics), together with patients and members of the public, have been working together over the last 12 months to develop a new system to record people’s choices about treatments they would want to be offered if they become severely or critically ill, and perhaps more importantly, treatments that they wouldn’t want or wouldn’t help them.

The Council has launched a survey, which closes on Monday (29^th February), to allow healthcare colleagues to provide feedback on the concept of the ECTP and on the supporting documents, focusing especially on content, clarity and structure. How long the survey takes you to complete will depend on how many comments you want to make!

So far, just 4% of the survey respondents are paramedics; make sure our profession is represented, and our expertise is shared, by completing the survey today.
