It is with great sadness that the Trust announces retired Norfolk paramedic Roy Seagrave passed away at the weekend.

Roy joined the Trust in 1994 from Nottingham and worked in the NHS for more than 40 years. He worked at Hunstanton station for his entire EEAST career and was a much-loved member of staff.

Chief Executive, Anthony Marsh, said: “Roy gave a huge part of his career to working for this Trust and I am saddened to learn of his passing. I know you will join me in sending our sympathies to his family, friends and former colleagues.”

Duty Locality Officer Carl, who worked with Roy, said: “Roy can only be described as a ‘crew-room legend’. He would offer to work anywhere with anyone and his NHS frontline service was outstanding.”

Roy’s funeral will be on Friday 28th November at Mintlyn crematorium at 3.15pm. The funeral procession will leave from Hunstanton ambulance station and if you wish to attend, please wear uniform.

The Trust’s employee assistance programme is available at any time and is free, confidential, runs 24/7 and can be accessed either on the phone or online. Just visit www.well-online.co.uk (user name: EEASTlogin, password: wellbeing) or call 0800 085 1376.
