Scope of practice for AAP and IAP roles

Side of RRV with lozenge

New documents showing the scope of practice for our intermediate ambulance practitioner (IAP) and associate ambulance practitioner (AAP) roles are now available on East24.

The documents outline the general work and specific responsibilities associated with each job, which have changed and expanded on the emergency care assistant and emergency medical technician roles we already have at EEAST to include new practices and skills. The scopes also outline the boundaries within which colleagues must always operate.

The scope of practice section on East24, accessible here via a Trust network, also has documents for emergency care assistant, emergency medical technician, and paramedic roles.
