Sean O'Sullivan appointed as head of estates

Sean O'Sullivan has been appointed as the Trust’s new head of estates and will take responsibility for helping deliver ambitious plans to provide an estate which is safe, compliant and fit-for-purpose.

Sean brings with him a wealth of experience, having completed a BSc in building surveying from London South Bank University before going onto spend nearly 20 years working across the NHS at various managerial levels. He replaces Clive Radestock, who left the Trust at the end of April to take up a position closer to his home.

Sean, who has worked in the construction industry ever since leaving school, said: “I feel incredibly honoured to have been appointed as head of estates, working closely with Jackie Nugent and the wider estates team.

“For those of you who I have not met yet, I wanted to share a little bit about me.

“I have worked across both private and public sector and have been involved in a range of prestigious developments such as the Millennium Dome, Canary Wharf and the McLaren Research and Development Centre in Woking. While in the private sector, I was also privileged to work with companies such as Bloomberg, Goldman Sachs and Royal Bank of Scotland.

“My NHS career started in east London working for both Plaistow Primary Care and City and Hackney PCT, where I was involved in the development and construction of the first privately funded LIFT co-property in Manor Park. My role with EEAST is my first within the ambulance sector.

“In my spare time, I follow my local football team Billericay, while always keep an eye out for my club, which is West Ham United. I also spend my weekends riding my bike and have been fortunate enough to participate in amateur events for my age group across Europe.

“I am looking forward to working with you all and meeting some of you in person when our site visits commence.”
