Secretary of State meets staff in west Norfolk

Elizabeth Truss, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and MP for south west Norfolk, met staff in Swaffham last week to learn more about the service.

Non-Executive Director Sheila Childerhouse, who also attended, said: “Elizabeth’s visit went very well and we had good discussions about the demands on the service, response targets in rural areas and our community first responders, who are of course vital for rural areas.”

Elizabeth was also given a demonstration of the defibrillators used by community first responders.
