Service Delivery Management restructure

The first phase of the service delivery restructure is complete and we are now in a position to progress through phase 2.

Thank you to everyone for the questions at the staff sessions and the feedback email address – we welcome ongoing feedback and will arrange workshops and support training for DLOs. The questions and answer have been collated and can be found here on East24.

The following appointments have been confirmed during phase 1:

Post holder

Deputy Director of Service Delivery – West

Dave Fountain

Deputy Director of Service Delivery – East

Karl Edwards

Deputy Director of Service Delivery – Ambulance Operations Centres and Collaboration

Gary Morgan

Deputy Director of Service Delivery – EPRR, HART, Special Operations and directorate transformation

Jon Moore

Sector Head of Service Delivery

Liz McEwan

As a result of the process we say goodbye to Matt Broad who will leave in September, and Rob Ashford who will leave in January 2019. We wish Matt and Rob well for the future and thank them for their commitment over many years to EEAST and our patients - they have bought tremendous knowledge and experience to the Trust.

Patient Transport Service

The PTS leadership is now run by the deputy directors for the east and west, and ambulance operations centres as part of the integration progress. This work will continue to progress as other appointments are made.

Sector Head recruitment

The shortlisted candidates will attend an assessment centre next week involving external stakeholder representatives, and a variety of staff members from EEAST. Candidates will be assessed through a number of activities with the final decision made by a panel which includes independent representatives.

Appointment of successful candidates will be confirmed by 19th July and if there are any remaining posts will then be subject to external recruitment.

Please keep an eye out for further staff sessions on the structure where you can ask your questions and provide your feedback if not directly involved.

We have uploaded this as a full structure update here, where you can find other information and background documents.
