Changes to safeguarding and social care referrals

Clinical staff that need to refer patients for safeguarding and social care assessment should note that the single point of contact (SPOC) question sets will be changing soon.

We will be introducing different pathways for both adult and child referrals to improve the quality of the referrals we provide local authorities with and benefit our patients by providing appropriate, accurate information. 

The format will be different in that you will be completing a tailored question set. You will be guided through the new questions by our call handlers. 

If you have any queries, the social workers within SPOC are available during office hours to answer any questions you may have.
