Staff and CFRs join up to launch defibrillator in St. Albans

Boots Defib St Albans

On Friday (27th February), staff and CFRs launched a new automated external defibrillator (AED) at Boots in St Albans, alongside County Councillor Sandy Walkington.

This latest installation is part of EEAST’s project to place 1,000 defibrillators across our region to assist in helping to save more lives.

Steve Catley, Community Partnership Manager for Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, attended the installation, alongside CFR Strategic Representative for the area, Ray Saunders.

Steve said: “We are pleased to see these defibrillators in their new homes across the area. We are currently on target to roll out 180 defibrillators into communities by the end of March and are also holding awareness sessions so people have an understanding of how to use the AED. I’d like to thank Ray and Sandy for attending the launch on Friday; it is always good to work so closely with our volunteers and stakeholders.”
