Crews from EEAST attended a multi-agency incident exercise in Bedfordshire on Sunday (8th June) involving a minibus crash on a railway line.
The exercise was organised by the Bedfordshire and Luton Local Resilience Forum (BLLRF) and took place at Bedford St John’s railway station.
The overall exercise aim was to test the Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Programme (JESIP) at all command levels in response to a major or complex incident.
BLLRF is made up of a large number of organisations such as the police, fire and ambulance service, local authorities, health organisations, Environment Agency and on this occasion, the railway industry.
