Staff Wellbeing in Ambulance Personnel (SWAP) research study

Researchers from the University of Lincoln, University of East Anglia and Edge Hill University would like to invite you take part in a survey of ambulance staff mental wellbeing.

The survey is open to ALL salaried staff who are employed by any ambulance service NHS Trust.

This study is being funded by Health Education England (HEE) and all ambulance staff across the UK are being invited to take part.

This study involves completing an online survey, in which you will not be asked to give any of your personal information- it will be totally anonymous.

The universities would like you to tell them about your wellbeing and your experience of using mental wellbeing services through your work or other providers. This will include your wellbeing before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The questions are based on the findings from some interviews which took place with a number of NHS ambulance staff and wellbeing leads in early 2020.

It is expected that this will take you no more than 15mins and you can come back to the survey at any time.

If you have any further questions please contact either Viet-Hai Phung on or the Yorkshire Ambulance Service Research Department

You can access the study via the following link:

All the responses will be stored at the University of Lincoln and remain confidential.
