Standard operating procedures for new equipment

Towards the end of last year the Trust introduced some brand new equipment to help us treat trauma patients, and the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the following are now available to view on East24:

• the EZIO infusion system, used to gain access for the rapid infusion of fluids and drugs (you can watch our information video on the EZIO on Need to Know) 
• major trauma packs for the management of major haemorrhage 
• traction splints, for the assessment and management of actual and potential femoral fractures 
• pelvic splints, for the assessment and management of actual and potential pelvic injuries.
