Stay safe on the railways

RRV with blue lights

When you think railway safety, what first comes to mind? Is it level crossings?

We have of course, seen incidents in the past within the region that have involved them. Maybe you think of children, and the fact that schools are set to break for summer soon, potentially increasing the risk of them being involved in such an emergency. You may even be thinking about the sadly high number of suicides on the railways.

The truth is all of these things comes under the banner of rail safety, and are equally as important to Network Rail, who have dedicated a section of their website to the subject. It includes educational resources for both primary and secondary school aged children, as well as suicide prevention campaigns, real life stories and much more.

Follow the link and have a read for yourselves, and help us spread the word to keep the public safe this summer.
