Student Paramedic Helen's charity night in Biggleswade at the end of last month has raised more than £4,500 for leukaemia and lymphoma research.

More than 130 people attended the ‘The Colourful Do’ at the Weatherley Centre and student paramedic Helen is delighted with how much has been raised.

Helen said: “I am so proud of what we achieved. I would like to thank Craig Borrett from Bedford control room, who was our resident DJ. I would also like to thank everyone who has made a donation. I am amazed at the generosity. This charity is especially important to me and I am thrilled to be able to give the money raised to such worthwhile research.”
