Following their success last year, a group of staff have completed another Tough Mudder event to raise money for a leukaemia charity.

It took four hours for the 20-strong team of paramedics, family and friends to complete the course on Saturday (30th May), which involved 12 miles of SAS-style obstacles.

Kate Bennett, Supervisor at Rayleigh station, said: “It was a very entertaining day but painful! We finished the course as a team and we had great support from a team of people following us around and cheering us on.

“This year we are raising money for Leukaemia CARE, which has helped to support Hattie’s Heroes, a charity which was set up by a Westcliff family whose two-year-old daughter was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. We are really close to hitting our £1,000 target so we’d be really grateful if you could help us reach it!”
