Temporary changes to training delivery

Ambulance line up blue sky

A new face-to-face training programme is being introduced to make sure that all of our staff can keep their Essential Care Skills (ECS) up to date and remain compliant with the requirements for healthcare workers.

The one-day course will focus on safeguarding updates, acute behavioural disturbances, values and behaviours and resuscitation practice and review. It will be complemented by online training which will be available on Evolve and will cover all of the other ECS elements which do not need to be delivered face-to-face.

The change has been introduced to help us make sure that everyone can keep up to date with their training after it was temporarily paused while we managed REAP 4. Some elements have been moved online to increase flexibility and make them easier to access over the winter months, when we anticipate demand for our services will continue to be high.

We plan to introduce a more sustainable solution in the next financial year and will update you as soon as we have more detail.

Following additional investment from Health Education England, we also will be releasing other CPD options for colleagues to access in the coming months. We will let you know once they have been confirmed.

Thank you for your understanding.
