Thank you from Dorothy

Snowflake

I wanted to write and thank you for your extensive efforts during the snowy conditions overnight and into today (Friday), especially in the most affected areas in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.

Many of you have overcome some challenges getting to your base station, where the conditions hit the hardest, and I know teams would have supported one another to help overcome any staffing issues.

With snow and icy conditions, we see an increase in falls outside, as well as attending patients whose long-term conditions are affected by colder weather. Your compassion towards our patients has continued, and I know you will have done whatever possible to respond well.

The forecast suggests continued cold weather, including showers and icy conditions, so on behalf of my Executive Team colleagues, thank you all and stay safe and warm!

All the very best,

Dorothy
