Thanks to our HART and Special Operations teams.

Thanks to our HART and Special Operations teams.

At the start of shift on Mother’s Day, our HART team received a National Mutual Aid request via the National Ambulance Coordination Centre to deploy CBRN capability to support an operation in Salisbury which relates to the much publicised nerve agent incident.

Without fuss, they deployed immediately knowing they would not be able to return home that day to their families.  Our support to the national request has continued daily with teams being away from home until stood down today (20th).

On behalf of the Trust, I would like to thank everyone who was involved and gave the most professional support and impression of our Trust in supporting this ongoing operation. We should feel very proud that we have demonstrated our training and capability to such a situation.  Thank you.
