Commercial and CFR Training department gain Direct Claim Status

The Commercial and CFR Training team have been awarded Level 0 – Direct Claim Status (DCS) by key awarding body partner FutureQuals.

FutureQuals describe this status as;

‘The standing of the Centre is enhanced. The Trust and confidence implicit in DCS signals to others (including funders) that the Centre is well-regarded and takes quality seriously’.

Commercial and CFR training department courses that fall under FutureQuals accrediting regime are:

  • Level 3 Certificate Ambulance Service First Responders
  • First Aid at Work (Level 3)
  • Emergency First Aid at Work (Level 3)

Mark Hayes said:

“We’re extremely proud of achieving Level 0 level with FutureQuals, it’s the highest status you can get and it’s a result of a year of extremely hard work, technical expertise and long hours worked by Andy Shreeve (Lead IQA), Carl Carrington (CFR Trainer), Steve Hammond (CFR Trainer), Mark Martin (CFR Trainer), Kate Fitchew-Cattrell (Commercial Training Administrator) and all the others in the Commercial and CFR Training Teams.

It sends a message to CFRs preparing to be trained in the Trust and also to our commercial customers, that we work really hard to get their training right”.

Specifically the new Direct Claim Status gives the Commercial and CFR Training teams faster certification, enhanced centre status and greater control and responsibility for the training and certification process.
