The East of England Clinical Network - Diabetes Prevention & Treatment Conference

RRV with blue lights

Readers of Need to Know are invited to a conference next month which explores the current care programme and its outcomes for improving patient health.

Diabetes is under the spotlight nationally with the launch of the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme, and the focus on diabetes treatment and care within the Improvement and Assessment Framework for clinical commission groups (CCGs), including the forthcoming £44m investment by NHS England.

The conference, between 9.30am-4pm on 31st March at the Cambridge Belfry in Cambourne, will include updates on the programme and the East of England Severe Hypoglycaemia Ambulance Project, amongst other key topics.

The organisers are also looking for poster presentations on all aspects of diabetes prevention, treatment and care so it’s a great opportunity to share your work with others by submitting a poster for display (there will be a prize for the best poster!). Closing date for submission is Friday, 24th March.  To register for the event please email: taz.islam@nhs.net and mention if you have any specific dietary requirements as refreshments and a buffet lunch are provided.
