You will soon receive an email from Picker which will contain a unique link to the survey. The survey is easy to complete and should take you around 15 minutes.

You can complete the survey during your regular working hours. The survey closes on 27th November 2020.

How do I take part?
You will receive an email with a unique link.

Is taking part mandatory?
Everyone is encouraged to take part, but the survey is not mandatory. You will receive reminders until the deadline on 27th November 2020 unless you complete the survey or opt out. To opt out please email pickersurveys@pickereurope.ac.uk or send your survey back blank.

Every year, we carry out a national survey of NHS staff in partnership with trade unions and whilst this year has been very different for the NHS, we are asking many of the same questions, in the same way, as in previous years. Whilst it may seem strange to ask some of these questions now, it will ensure that we can measure the impact of the pandemic on the experiences of our staff by comparing it to previous years. We have also made some changes which are specifically relevant to working through Covid-19, so that we can understand your experience more fully.

Within the NHS – both nationally and in your organisation - results from this survey will be used to understand the impact of the pandemic on staff, improve working conditions for staff and ultimately improve patient care.

Can I save the survey? 
Yes, the survey can accept partial responses, so that you can complete it as and when you have the time.

Is the survey confidential?
Yes. The Trust will have no access to individual responses and Picker will not supply any identifiable data. As an accredited survey contractor, Picker comply with ISO 20252, ISO 270001 and the General Data Protection regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the Data Protection Act 2018.

How do you monitor incomplete surveys?
All returned surveys are registered ‘complete’ via their barcode or unique link. This allows reminders to be sent for uncompleted surveys. The trust will not be able to match codes with responses. We will not be able to see if you have or have not completed the survey.

Can I forward the email to the rest of my team?
No. Each survey link is unique to its recipient, and once it has been used to complete a survey it cannot be used again.

How will the results be used?
Picker reports the results in anonymised reports for groups of 11 or more. The Trust can use these reports to identify issues and create plans to help drive improvements. National results will be published in 2021 are also anonymised and confidential.
