The deadline for the Unsung Hero Awards, a ceremony to celebrate our non-medical healthcare staff has been extended.

GoToJobBoard is asking people to nominate non-medical NHS staff who they think deserve more recognition for helping fellow colleagues and caring for patients.

This year GoToJobBoard has launched a brand new site and created different award categories to reward more NHS Unsung Heroes.

So far, more than 90 trusts have got involved with more than 300 nominations made.

If you know someone who fits the criteria, then please nominate them today! You just need to fill out the online form on GoToJobBoard’s website.

Sectors for nominees can include admin, senior management, estates, IT, and many more.

The deadline will close on Friday, 10th November, with the finalists announced in early 2018 and a ceremony following shortly after.

Remember, if you want to say a quick but heartfelt thank you to someone here at EEAST, you can nominate them as a Hidden Gem at any time; all ‘gems’ get a certificate and personal letter from Chief Executive Robert Morton. You can nominate here on East24.
