This week's leadership message from Dorothy Hosein

Dorothy Hosein new

I have completed my mandatory training this month and would encourage you all to ensure you have too.

It is so important that we are all trained in essential areas such as safeguarding and information governance. Your line manager will be able to facilitate this.

I met with HART colleagues this week and witnessed National Ambulance Resilience Unit (NARU) training in the sunshine. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for the warm welcome and I hope you enjoyed the rest of the training.

In the last week, we have held the second round of Accountability Committee meetings in which each sector has had the opportunity to present the great work from across the organisation. Importantly, we were able to identify some areas of good practice which the sector heads will be sharing to improve the support we provide to both patients and staff. The letters from these meetings will be sent out next week and will be available on all stations.

You will have noticed my email in relation to the Staff Survey results this week. Thank you to all of those who have already provided feedback. If you are waiting for a response, I will get back to you in the next few days. I, like all the managers in the Trust, am keen to hear your views and solutions.

Finally, I had the honour of attending the funeral of Robin Watts last week. I have so much respect for the dignity and strength shown by his family and colleagues in such dreadful circumstances. I did not know Robin, but wanted to show my respect and support to his family and colleagues.

"It left me feeling honoured to be part of the green family."

Please if anyone has been affected, you can access the Wellbeing Hub at any time on 03456 089 945 or email us  Your contact will always be confidential unless there is any potential risk involved.

I hope you are enjoying this unexpected sunshine - this time last year we were knee deep in snow!!! I look forward to seeing you soon during my travels. I am in Suffolk all day Friday and Norfolk next Friday.
